Elizabeth Ababio

Elizabeth Ababio is an African-Canadian director and screenwriter originally born in Los Angeles, California. Her love of writing began when she was 4 years old, sparking her interest in theatre. She performed in stageplays, including: “Seussical the Musical”, “Aladdin”, “Oliver Twist”, etc. Elizabeth then went to LaSalle College, where she studied 2D Animation. After this she transferred to Langara College to study screenwriting and directing. With her family’s support Elizabeth has written and published a novel, written two short films: [“Presentation” (2018) and “To Keep Her Safe” (2018)], a feature film and directed two short films: [“Detective Ultra” (2020) and “Sanctuary” (2020)”] (Detective Ultra has been screened at the Whistler Film Festival).

Mark Barba

Early on in his career, Mark started out his creative journey as a Photographer. In the efforts to challenge his creativity, he went into the realm of filmmaking, and it easily became a burning passion to get better in it. With his strong background in Photography, he uses and transforms this style to make stunning and pleasing visuals that are very noticeable in his work. In 2020, he decided to take it further and decided to take formal education in one of the worlds' biggest filmmaking stage; Vancouver, Canada, opening more opportunities that eventually will launch his career as a Director/Cinematographer.

Berker Berki

Berker was born in Ä°stanbul Turkey. He decided to be a filmmaker at a young age. During his bachelor's degree at Istanbul University on Radio, Television  & Cinema, he wrote, directed, and acted in many student short film projects and documentaries. After completing his bachelor's degree, he started to work as an assistant director in commercials, music videos, TV series, and feature films. After 7  years of on set experience, he moved to Vancouver Canada to get his post-graduate certificate in Langara College Film Arts Program. He also completed his first novel during Covid locked down. He works on his stories in book or movie format, always and forever into storytelling.

Vinícius Cavalieri

Vinicius Cavalieri Coutinho de Sá is a film composer, multi- instrumentalist and director  from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Vinicius has been involved with music since he was 4 years old, collaborating in several  bands and playing at church. He studied Music Production and Acoustics in Brazil and  later on was admitted to Berklee College Of Music, majoring in Film Scoring. Since  then, Vinicius has been composing music for several short films and documentaries,  such as “Paulinho MJPOP”, “Pebbles, Ripples and Waves: The Life and Times of  Gordon Hunt” and “Mud Refugees”,“Mak And Fran”, “Flipside”, “The Interview”,  “And…Action!” and “Detention”. Currently living in Vancouver, BC, Vinicius has  directed the short films “Mak and Fran” and “Over The Edge”.

Jennifer Copping

Jennifer Copping is a multiple nominee and winner of awards for her work as an actress over her 30 year plus career. Karina Correa

Karina Correa is a student of film arts and aspiring film director. Creativity has always been  important and intriguing to her and with a background in architecture she seeks to unite these  two passions in the creation and conception of ideas in her productions. Accompanied by an  exceptional team, Karina Correa directed two short-films in 2020: “The Interview” and “Jump”. Interested in social issues she seeks to expose such subjects in her productions in a distinct way.  Her experience with animation technology and 3D design led her to the film industry with the  desire to explore new perspectives.

Hailing from Brazil with a marketing bachelor’s degree and photography background, Lila Ferradans is a detail-oriented person and passionate about images. She is a Vancouver-based filmmaker and spent the last year at Langara College Film Arts Program. Ally Millar

Ally Millar is a filmmaker living in Vancouver BC. Ally started her interests off with photography and later found a love for film where she got into cinematography and  editing. Ally has worked as a DOP on multiple short films such as “Detective Ultra” (2020), which is being screened at the Whistler Film Festival. Ally is currently enrolled in  Film Arts at Langara College as a director and is looking forward to continue building up  her resume and work experience in film.

Yann Plouin

Born in Mexico City, French-Mexican filmmaker Yann Plouin, a young dreamer who reaches the audience’s heart and soul with his beautiful stories, serving the greater good and his artistic visions. He is interested in sharing his perspective, making feature films and documentaries. Yann admires European films, Latin-American films and indie films. His love of screenwriting and directing changed everything. By the time he reached the age of 18, he started writing stories for film. Now he’s inspired by directors like Terrence Malick, Andrei Tarkovsky, and others. He moved to Canada in order to search for unforgettable moments and tales and to transform his passion into art, a passion for creating ideas that come for the heart.
